 Rosa va anar a una orgia als anys setanta, era verge i va ser violada. Des d'aquell dia, idurant els deu anys següents, es va mantenir a distància del sexe i no va fer mai l'amor. Un dia coneix en Joan, un actor, i s'enamoren.
Despres d'una llarga relació prematrimonial es casen. Però el primer dia de la luna de mel, la Rosai en Joan tenen un fatídic accident d'automòbil. Al cap d'altres deu anys, el matrimoni continua unit però encara no han fet mai l'amor.


Having gained success and artistic acknowledgement for his performances on the stage, Joan Barnat has now definitively abandoned the theatre to work exclusively for television. But a turn of events causes him to lose control of his mind and he becomes obsessed with leaving his work on television to seek out a past love from the 70's on the island of Formentera. His wife, who is also the director of the show along with the collaborators and sponsor, all decide they cannot allow Joan to leave them without a programme or jobs so to keep him happy and persuade him to stay on, they organise a party on Formentera at which they assure him he'll find Layla, his lost love.
